ABOUT ME

Brooklyn Trauma Therapist

I am a clinical psychologist providing psychotherapy, trauma treatment, psychological testing, and parent guidance services to patients in both New York and Connecticut. Originally trained as a child and school psychologist, I bring a collaborative approach to my work with patients and a commitment to understanding them in the context of their families and communities. I am the former Director of Mental Health Services at the Institute for Advanced Medicine, Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital's HIV/AIDS clinic. And, the former Clinical Director for the Integrative Trauma Program at the National Institute for Psychotherapies. 

Who do I treat?

I have extensive experience treating members of the LGBTQ and Latino/a communities, individuals living with or affected by HIV, and survivors of trauma. In my private practice I see adolescents and adults with a variety of difficulties including:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder [PTSD]

  • Recovery from childhood abuse and neglect

  • Relationship issues

  • Life transitions

  • Parenting decisions

What Modalities do I offer?

I am certified as both an EMDR clinician and a Sensorimotor Psychotherapist. The following is a list of psychotherapy modalities in which I have advanced, postdoctoral training:
